The TRNG9803 is a serial port device intended for embedded PC applications (standard 10V port/9 pins). The optional software CD include a software (source code) that give an example of on-line testing and processing of the random numbers. The 9803 do not include on-board processing of random numbers, so it is recommended to run the supplied software. New customers shall order a minimum of one software CD.
The old software will soon be replaced with a new version. Meanwhile, we do not ship the old software CD.
The product is held in stock and can be shipped immediately.
In case you consider ordering large numbers of units, the production lead-time is about four weeks.

Serial ports are not common on office PC:s any more; it is not recommended to use extension cables or an USB-serial converter. Some serial ports are "non-standard", and most serial port products, including the 9803, may have problems with these ports.
If there is no problem with the serial port, the unit is guaranteed to work perfectly!
For embedded applications, several versions of the circuit exist for different drive voltages and configurations.
